In April of 2009 a woman was run over and seriously injured on the junction of Courthill Road and Lewisham High Street.

Local Lib Dem councillors are campaigning for a safer road crossing, before a child going to the nearby swimming pool or going to school is run over.

Transport for London say that traffic locally should take precedence over safety of pedestrians - and aren't willing to commit to any deadline to even reviewing ways to make the junction safer.

600 local people have already signed this petition for a safer junction - please forward this to your friends to get them to sign too.
