We, the undersigned, oppose the closure of the footbridge over Sheffield Station. We believe that this is a much-needed link for local residents and tram passengers - and that East Midlands Trains have no right to cut our city in two.

We call on the Labour Government to withdraw the clause in the franchise allowing the barriers. Taxpayers paid for the footbridge - closing it would be a waste of public money. Tickets should be checked on the platform or train.
