One of the hanging baskets due to be axed by Labour

We the undersigned residents call upon Islington Council NOT to cut the wonderful hanging baskets and flower displays across Islington. They brighten up our streets and we are enormously proud of them. Islington has become a nicer place to live over the past few years as a result of these and other measures.

It is short sighted to think that by removing the flowers any small amount of money that will be saved is worth the greater impact on Islington and its residents. We urge the Council to look at cutting waste and worthless propaganda instead.
