We the undersigned note the proposal by the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Trust to move care for older mothers, multiple and complex pregnancies and special care baby unit from its current, logical, site at the Royal Shrewsbury to Telford.

We also note that this would cause a great deal of hardship and stress for patients and their families travelling from Montgomeryshire.

This will probably put mothers and babies at risk as ambulance response times will inevitably be significantly increased.

We therefore urge the Trust to re-think its proposals.
