Cambridgeshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) is reviewing how care for older people is provided at
Brookfields Hospital, Mill Road. They say that the current cost of providing care at Davison House, Brookfields, is too high and that the costs are not sustainable.

Brookfields Hospital has two in-patient rehabilitation wards. The PCT hopes to treat these patients at home rather than in in-patient beds, closing these wards. Those who can't be treated at home may go to community hospitals in other parts of Cambridgeshire.

Patients at the Lord Byron ward, which provides continuing care, may be moved from the hospital into care homes.

We, the undersigned, call on Cambridgeshire Primary Care Trust not to close wards for the elderly at Brookfields Hospital.
