The return of a rail service to beat the traffic jams has been on the cards for many years. South Gloucestershire Council will soon be starting consultation on the new planning blueprint for the next 16 years, called the Core Strategy.

One of the issues to consider will be whether there should be a station at Charfield as part of the aim to have much improved rail services.
