Local Liberal Democrat campaigners Paul and Helena McCloskey are calling on the Conservative controlled County Council to improve roads and pavements in Battledown & Charlton Kings.

They have launched a petition aimed at persuading the council to devote more resources to improving our highways.

Paul said " The Tory controlled County Council has responsibility for the maintenance of the highways in our area. Many local roads and pavements are in a dire state and we need to see some improvements now.

Please sign the petition below, the more signatures we collect, the greater chance will we have of persuading the County Council to act."
