Northcroft Ward Councillor Gwen Mason is calling for Fair Pay for Police Officers!
Our hard working Police Officers deserve fair pay!

Last year Police Officers were promised a 2.35% pay rise starting in September 2007. Now the Government will not backdate the pay deal to September 2007 - this makes the rise only worth 1.9%.

Civilian staff at Police Stations have already been given the full pay rise backdated to September, so have Police Officers in Scotland - so won't the Government do the same for our Police Officers?

Police Officers cannot go on strike. The only way that they can legally express their anger at this unfair treatment is to protest. On January 23, more than 15,000 officers from all over England and Wales will attend a protest rally in Westminster, organised by the Police Federation.

Support our hard working Police Officers!
We the undersigned believe that our hard working Police Officers should be fairly paid.

We call on the Government to award Police Officers the 2.35% pay rise that was recommended at the Police Arbitration Tribunal in September 2007. We also believe that this pay settlement should be backdated to 1st of September, as has already been done for civilian personnel who work within Police Stations.
