The Lewes Victoria Hospital services are about to become part of the East Sussex Hospital Trust based in Hastings and Eastbourne, which is known to be deeply in debt.

We, the undersigned, deplore the way the future of the Lewes Victoria Hospital has been put at risk by the actions of the Local NHS Care Trusts. We wish to see a commitment to the continuation of full hospital services, and call on Government Ministers to intervene to stop any further decisions before full consultation with local people and to consider the option of a local charitable trust taking ownership of our hospital.
