No Darling!

South Wales West Lib Dems have launched this site to campaign to save our local Post Offices and send a clear message to the Labour Secretary for Trade & Industry, Alistar Darling MP that any more Post Office closures will not be tolerated.

2,500 Post Offices to close

The battle to save our local Post Offices has recieved a serious blow. It has been recently announced by Labour Secretary for Trade & Industry, Alistar Darling MP that an estimated 2,500 Post Offices will shut across the UK by 2009, that will mean hundreds of Post Offices across Wales will close.

Blocked!

In Wales the Lib Dems wanted to reintroduce a scheme to support Post Offices to help keep them open, but Rhodri Morgan's Labour Government blocked the plans.

Lib Dems continue the fight!

Lib Dems locally and nationally are leading the fight to save our Post Offices in towns and the countryside.

Please sign our petition to keep our Post Offices open!
I/we the undersigned, call on the Government to keep the Post Office card account to allow people to continue to collect their pensions and benefits at Post Offices and safeguard our post offices.
