Introduction

Hi there,

We are the Liberal Democrats from North Warwickshire. 
As you may be aware there are Local Elections happening in our area on June 4th 2009. 

We feel it is important to make a stand in these elections. The Labour  government has recently lost direction; with the failure of the budget stimulus to the Gurkha's right to stay in Britain - it has instead been the Liberal Democrats who have lead the way - with the sensible approach to finance from Vince Cable, to the Leadership of Nick Clegg on key issues facing the British people today. 

 Our Local Candidates

It is important for you to know our candidates for these local elections.

Kieren Moss - a local education specialist. He has studied politics for 5 years and has a keen interest in young peoples affairs. Through his work in Education, he feels there are clear reforms that need to happen both at local and national level so that we are able to allow our children to have a strong education. More than this, education does not stop in the classroom. Kieren has long been an advocate of  local youth community centres where young people have a place just for them, a place where they have something to do - and not being bored hanging around on street corners. It also provides young people with a safe environment to socialise!

 Nathan Sweet- is a keen community activist; having been on Atherstone Town council for 3 years. He has lived in Atherstone all his life, and is secretery of the Dickens Committee - a panel for organisation of an annual local event.
He believes in local issues- of particular interests are the local problems of road surfacing, young people's activities and anti-social behaviour!

What we want to achieve.....

 With this website and our associated Facebook  group, we want to inform people in our area of local LibDem activities and goings on with the party and our people.
