The future of the proposed Oak Park Community Hospital for Havant and part of East Hants looks less secure as NHS Hampshire has decided at this late stage to undertake a financial review. The review called a rapid appraisal process will look at five key questions, all of these financial, in order to determine what to do next. The next board meeting of NHS Hampshire on 24th September will have the outcome of the review.

Susan Stocker, Liberal Democrat Group Leader, said "The services and beds agreed for the Oak Park Community Hospital must be provided locally. Residents have told us how these services impact on them and how much they are needed."

We call on the NHS Hampshire to provide the community services and beds which were agreed for Havant and East Hants area on the Oak Park Community Hospital site and to make best use of all local NHS Hampshire facilities.
