for Chelmsford
This website is for young people to tell their politicians what they think should be the priorities for Chelmsford. I set it up after speaking to groups of local young people.
As Liberal Democrat Candidate for Chelmsford at the general election, I am very keen to hear what young people have to say.
I am proud that my party is the ONLY main political party that opposed both tuition and top-up fees from the start. Fees condemn a generation of students to long-term debt & put off those from less well-off backgrounds from continuing their studies. If elected, Liberal Democrats will scrap fees. More here.
Please have a look down the page for more information and vote in the poll on what is the most important issue for young people in Chelmsford. You can join the Chelmsford Youth Forum on Facebook to discuss these ideas and/or email me with your suggestions for our town.

What young people want to see in Chelmsford
A wide range of suggestions were made during discussions at Moulsham High as part of citizenship week. When a vote was taken, some issues were mentioned much more than others. There is a poll (top right) to see what YOU think should be the priority.
One particularly popular issue was: a club/bar/cafe for under 18s, somewhere to hang out with friends. If you agree that this IS the top priority, please sign the petition below. If you have other views, please go to the poll.
