School crossing patrols, or lollipop men & women, provide safety for children and parents on their way to school when they have to cross busy roads. Labour run Brent Council is considering scrapping over half of the school crossing patrols in Brent – cutting them from 47 to only 17.

Liberal Democrats believe this could endanger young children and their parents and are urging Labour councillors to think again.

I believe the safety of children is very important. I oppose Labour’s plans to scrap my local lollipop person and the school crossing patrol they provide.
