The new Yate Bus Station shelter is not fit for purpose - it's windy and it doesn't keep the rain off. In fact it's worse for passengers than the old fashioned shelters.

Previously coaches could use the Bus Station - South Gloucestershire want to ban everything except local buses, saying that there's not enough room in the new layout.

We therefore back the campaign by our Focus Team councillors and call on Tesco, First Bus, Yate Shopping Centre and South Gloucestershire Council to build a decent weatherproof shelter for passengers and to provide a coach bay located near the Bus Station and a decent pick up/drop off bay.
